Communication Methods

Please note that secure messages, SMS texts, and voicemails are reviewed during business hours (generally Monday through Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm). Responses are typically provided within one to two business days, depending on the nature of the request.

Primary Patient Communication Number: (503) 406-9615

  • This number is used for SMS text messaging and phone calls/voicemail through a platform called Spruce Health and is the most secure option for routine patient contact, such as:

    • scheduling, rescheduling, or cancelling appointments

    • arrival notifications

    • logistical questions (e.g. pharmacy info, forms information)

    • billing questions

  • At this time, phone calls are not answered live. Voicemail messages are reviewed by Dr. Wilson during business hours and returned as needed.

Secure Messaging via Patient Portal (Charm PHR) - for current patients

  • Portal messaging is the preferred method for clinical communication between visits, as it is HIPAA-compliant, secure, and confidential.

  • Patient communication via email is not considered a highly secure mode of communication. Please take this into consideration if and when you choose to communicate via email with myself or other healthcare practitioners.

  • The practice maintains a secondary business number (503-489-7831) for occasional administrative use and is not intended for routine patient communication.

Fax Number: (503) 343-6138

  • Fax is primarily used for communication with healthcare providers, pharmacies, or insurers. Faxes are sent and received through a HIPAA-compliant system (via Spruce Health).
